Much of the claims consultancy work we undertake relates specifically to rail, civils or construction disputes where an outstanding value has been written off from a project, due to either previous unsuccessful negotiations between our clients own commercial team, and that of their clients, or just a general acceptance to defeat without much of any real negotiation.

There is often a lack of necessary commercial experience within the orginisation, which when coupled with a general aversion towards 'rocking the boat' with the client, value you are perfectly entitled to under the contract is often left on the table.

Although our ultimate aim as claims consultants is to recover value for our clients (as otherwise we don't get paid), as part of our evaluation process we attempt to understand the reasons behind why the construction contract dispute arose in the first place. We then apply our 'expert witness' skills to the dispute in order to generate swift resolution, through demonstration to your client of why their understanding is in-correct, gently pushing towards persuasion rather than an aggressive approach.

There are many instances where our clients have been previously unaware of their entitlement to contract claims, and claim additional value under the contract, due to unfamiliarity or missunderstanding of the terms and conditions of contract. Variation or delay claims for example which had previously slipped through the net, are subsequently exposed as a result of our work.

Our small team would typically enter your office for 1 to 2 days, (or alternaitvely project files can be sent via post if you would prefer), in order that we may evaluate the project and identify commercial opportunity and risk, this service is completely free of charge. Once we gain an understanding of the project, we will then propose a % from which our fees will be based, on any additional value secured through our efforts therein. You are perfectly entitled to refuse this offer at this point should you choose, you are under no obligation to proceed.
